Another unique attribute of the Ether is the sapphire glass cylinder that houses the movement - it is extremely difficult to obtain a perfectly flat surface inside the tube due to the casting and polishing process. Manufactured exclusively for the Ether watch, it has two perfectly adjusted lids so that precious face and side diamonds are completely protected.

The material of corundum, or sapphire, is an absolutely stable substance with a hardness exceeded only by the diamond. Scratchproof, the cylinder is treated with an anti-reflection process on both sides of the glass to neutralize the reflection of light and to guarantee the optimal visibility of the dial and hands.
